The session, “Cyber Defence in Ukraine: frontline case studies and strategic insights”, drew on our experience building security into national-scale systems that operate under full-scale invasion.
The key takeaways centred on the need to:
Design redundancy and security together, so that failover paths do not bypass - security controls.
Stress-test systems and assume that an adversary may already be inside.
Track what adversaries are developing, not just what they are deploying.
Recognise the private sector’s role on the front line of cyber defence.
Establish partnerships between CERTs, vendors and allies in advance.
